1099 vs. Independent Contractors – What Every Business Leader Should Know

Misclassifying workers in the construction industry can lead to serious legal and financial consequences. This session is designed for contractors, business owners, and HR professionals to gain a clear understanding of worker classification—what it means, why it matters, and how to stay compliant.
Presented in partnership with Latinas in Construction, a D.C.-based nonprofit, this first session will be conducted entirely in Spanish by our Chief Human Resources Officer, Gabriela Santamaria, to better serve our diverse community. An English-language session will follow in December 2025, providing additional opportunities for broader engagement across audiences.
