Steve Barber

Managing Director for Supporting Strategies and President of neXco National’s Frederick B2B Chapter

The networking environment neXco provides allows for building collaborative relationships within your individual chapter and across all chapters. The Ice Breaker and Professional Development portions of the meeting allow for meaningful discussion and relationship building. Their Fundamental Behavior section helps to build a great foundation for becoming a master networker. By following their platform and accountability requirements, we were able to close over $300,000 of new business within six months of joining neXco.

neXco has proven itself to be the premier networking organization that any B2B professional must be a part of!”

Kaitlin Ruiz

Caitlin Ruiz

Founder of Human Design Consulting and President of neXco National’s GovCon II B2B Chapter

The most exciting and strategic recruiting work my company has ever done came from a fellow neXco GovCon II chapter member. She referred one of her biggest management consulting clients to me (multi-billion dollar company), which she had to do on two separate occasions before they actually picked up the phone to call me. This was a large five figure deal for our organization and allowed us the opportunity to break into a huge client with little challenge because of her support and endorsements.

When a fellow neXco chapter member not only refers their largest client to you (with faith in my company’s ability to deliver) and goes out of their way to suggest you provide them help TWICE, just speaks volumes about this neXco networking community’s strength and endurance. She and I continue to support one another to this day professionally and will do so for as long as we’re both in business.

Kendley Davenport

CEO of Leadershp4Success and Member of neXco National’s Loudoun Chapter

There are many good things about my neXco membership; mastermind sessions and cross chapter networking to name two. But the best part for me is all the guests that members invite. Guest attendance really expands your network and I really focus on getting to know our guest in a 1-to-1.

On two different occasions I met guests in a 1-to-1 that lead to me winning an 18-month engagement that produced over six figures of revenue for my company and a second guest that led to another smaller 12-month engagement for over $60k in fees.

Certainly, my investment in neXco has more than paid for itself and I now have tons of new friends and colleagues. It is fun to surround yourself with people who cheer for your success.

Sherry Nachman

Founder and CEO of Nachman Executive Consulting and Visitor Liaison for neXco National’s Baltimore Chapter

My success story is a testimonial to neXco National. I first attended a meeting as a guest. When I logged in and realized that there were five or six other firms that offered the same services that I did, my mind automatically assumed the worst….this was going to be a waste of my time. Well, I had never been more wrong. Since that meeting, I have met and created some of the most amazing strategic partnerships with other firms that do exactly what I do. I also took a leadership role on a new chapter that was being launched and it has thrown my business into hyperdrive since. Attending other chapter meetings, 1-to-1's and referrals from the many new connections I have made through neXco is the success in itself.

Shout out to the neXco family! I received a payroll referral from two of my chapter members recently. One for a pool management company and one for a security company! Both totaling 5 figures!

neXco rocks!

David Stearman

Founder, Owner and CEO of Proposal Strategy and Development Consulting LLC and Vice President of neXco National’s GovCon II B2B Chapter

I’ve been a member of neXco National for about a year and a half. In that time, I’ve received almost 20 referrals and have converted four, for a total of more than $30,000 in new revenue. I’m delighted with the ROI! Even better, I’m part of a wonderful community. neXco is by far the best networking group I’ve ever been a part of.

Lisa Carmichael

Director of Business Development for Gross Mendelsohn and President of neXco National’s Montgomery County B2B Chapter

neXco has become my main source of networking and business development. My job as the Director of Business Development for Gross Mendelsohn & Associates entails bringing in potential opportunities for new business and since I have been a member of neXco about 40% of the opportunities I have brought to my firm have been from the relationships that I have made in the neXco community and from referrals and introductions sent to me from fellow neXco members!

Not only has neXco been a great source of growing my business, this experience and membership has helped me grow professionally and as a leader. I’ve gained friendships, business partners and so much more from being involved. I am glad neXco found me!

Brian Hedlund

Owner and Strategic Partner at PrideStaff and President of neXco National’s Springfield B2B Chapter

Abundance is by definition a very large quantity of something. I want to thank neXco for fostering this core value of abundance. I want to thank Stephanie Eberhart for living it. Stephanie and are on paper in the same business “we find great people for our clients, to fill key business personnel objectives.” So on the surface, some would say we are competitors but we are not. We are collaborators. We each know what we do really well and what is a better fit for someone else. We pass introductions for new business, for centers of influence and do it with confidence because we believe in abundance. Thank you neXco and Stephanie for being a great collaborator!

Susan Katz

CEO of Susan Katz Advantage and Member of neXco National’s Montgomery County B2B Chapter

Another neXco member, sent a really good referral to me. It turned out that the person ended up not being a fit to work with me. However, I learned enough about the prospect during our discovery call and was able to refer him on to another neXco member who ended up signing a $36,000 engagement. To me, this demonstrates the power of the neXco community and the collaborative mindset of members.

Stacey Piper

Founder of Piper Strategies and Member Experience Leader for neXco National GovCon II Chapter

In the summer of 2021, when the GovConII chapter was first forming, our founding members opted to meet for an event in-person.

At that event, our chapter president, suggested that I should meet her colleague who ran the marketing consulting line at their business. We met and had a lovely conversation talking shop. Just 30-60 days later, I heard back from that same contact who wanted me to meet her boss. It turns out that the GovCon services provider wanted to exit the marketing vertical but still had two current clients enrolled. They didn’t want to leave their clients in a bad position, so they onboarded my company to subcontract those two accounts for Q4. The value of that immediate business was $24,000.

Flash forward to 2022, and I was able to convert one of those two “inherited” accounts to an annual customer for $60,000.

Goes to prove, you just never know what relationships will provide the right access and introductions, or when.

Lewis Rhodes

Partner at Reston Law Group and member of neXco National Springfield B2B Chapter

neXco’s growing national reach has been a huge boom to my practice and my ability to service my clients.  Last week in the span of 48 hours, I was able to use neXco connections to help my clients in two different states.  One of our clients was sued in a Texas State Court in San Antonio. I was very quickly able to connect with Michael Rodriguez in the Austin Chapter and have his firm work with us to defend this suit. Two days later, I was able to reach out to Brian Casaceli in the Boston Chapter to get use of conference room space for depositions I have to take in Boston.

I have often said that a big and understated value of the neXco community is the ability to find great resources for my clients.  It is even better now with connections nationwide.

Sam Greenberg

Business Development Team Lead at LEAP Legal Software and member of neXco National Baltimore B2B Chapter

One year ago, I was on the hunt for a new job. Thanks to the neXco community, I was overwhelmed with conversations in a good way so I could find the right fit. 6 months into my new business development role, I received a promotion, and a large part of my success was thanks to my neXco referrals. Moving into management, I’ve been able to not only leverage neXco for my own success, but it has also opened the door for those around me in my company to expand their own network since they are all across the county… just like neXco.
