VALUES & BEHAVIORS

At neXco National, we value Community, Collaboration, Growth and Leadership. We demonstrate these values through the following fundamental behaviors:

Act with honesty
and integrity

Do what you say you are going to do when you say you are going to do it.

Have a response time of no longer than 24 hours. If you cannot address something immediately, at a minimum send an acknowledgement that you have received the message and you will respond later.

If you’re early, you’re on time. If you’re on time, you’re late.

Communicate openly and transparently. Provide completely honest feedback and talk openly about challenging issues in a respectful and professional manner. Address the issue, not the person.

Discuss objectives up front and establish clear deadlines for all projects, issues, and commitments. Ensure total clarity and gain agreement from those involved.

Strive for
excellence

Pay attention to the details and give 100% effort to everything you do. Be relentless about continuous improvement.

Maintain optimism in the face of challenges without being discouraged or giving up.

Make decisions through a lens of: “What is in the best interest of the members?”

Be willing to do whatever it takes, and more, to accomplish your goals.

Set high goals, track your progress and hold yourself accountable for achieving the results.

Create highly efficient, effective and repeatable processes.

Solve problems before they happen by anticipating future needs and addressing them in advance. Strive to prevent issues, not merely fix them.

Take personal responsibility for making things happen and looking for how we can do it, rather than explaining why it cannot be done, or making excuses.

A scarcity mentality is what keeps many of us from achieving our goals. An abundance mindset refers to the paradigm that there is plenty out there for everybody.

Cultivate an environment of team unity and collaboration

Have an eagerness to sacrifice personal interest or glory for the good of the group.

Practice a mindset of zero excuses and take full responsibility for yourself and your team. Do not place blame elsewhere and do not complain.

Be present and engaged. Listen with care and empathy. Do not pass judgment.

Make sure every decision is based solely on advancing the team’s goals. Do not take things personally.

Coach and empower others to step up as leaders. Set the expectation that everyone is a leader. Even if an individual does not have an official leadership title, they should act as a leader and find a way to contribute to the team’s goals.

Don’t point fingers or place blame, instead learn from every experience and move on.

Be committed to supporting your team’s goals and values.

Support others and help them reach their goals. Share information, tips, and best practices freely.

Remember that everyone is trying to do their best, pay attention to things that make everyone unique, acknowledge their specialness. Treat everyone as individuals, not numbers.

Demonstrate meaningful acknowledgement and appreciation throughout the team.
