TOPIC:
Hidden Traps in a Federal Request for Proposals
SUMMARY:
This presentation will walk through a Federal Request for Proposals format and identify areas where there could be “traps” for the unwary. There are many areas where the government could put in requirements in an effort to steer an opportunity to a certain bidder. The presentation will advise how to identify those areas and highlight actions an offeror could take to address them.
Mr. Rhodes has over seventeen years of legal experience representing government contractors on all aspects of government contracting law and commercial disputes. Having began his career as a civil litigator, Mr. Rhodes focuses on government contract litigation matters such as pre- and post-award bid protests at the Government Accountability Office (GAO) and at the United States Court of Federal Claims (COFC).
In addition to his law firm experience, Mr. Rhodes has spent several years as an in-house counsel to multiple government contractors. He also had the opportunity to roll up his sleeves and write and price proposals, which gives him a unique understanding of that aspect of the industry.
